Langtang Trek

The Langtang valley is aptly called 'the valley of glaciers. Here, mountains rise soaring towards the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow- capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primulas. In the upper part of the valley there are snow ridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist, tiny lakes of crystalline brightness and glaciated mountain giants.

Itinerary of Langtang  Trek In Detail

Day 01 : Arrivel Kathmandu and meet with our represenative at the airport. Drive to hotel.

Day 02 : Half day sightseeing and trekking permit arrangements. O/N at hotel.

Day 03 : Kathmandu - Dhunche

Day 04 : Dhunche - Syabru

Day 05 : Syabru - Lama Hotel

Day 06 : Lama Hotel - Langtang Valley

Day 07 : Langtang valley to Kyangjin Gompa

Day 08 : Kyangjin Gompa An excellent look-out can be reached by climbing the slopes immediately behind the Kyangjin. The majestic 7200m Langtang Lirung rises above the glaciers. A visit to Cheese factory cmpletes the day. It is really a good experience to try a climb to Tsergo Ri (5033m.)

Day 09 : Kyangjin - Ghora Tabela

Day 10 : Ghora Tabela to Syabru

Day 11 : Syabru - Sing Gompa

Day 12 : Sing Gompa - Gosainkunda We follow a rugged trail with dramatic views; to the west lie Himal Chuli (7893m.,) Manaslu (8156m,) and Ganesh Himal (7406m.) On a clear day even the Annapurna range can be seen rising up behind and to the north across the valley is Langtang Lirung. We pass a few huts in the high pasture of Laurebina, cross a small ridge and have our first views of the holy lakes. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin, the main three being Saraswatikund, Bharab Kunda and Gosainkunda. According to legend, Gosainkunda was created by Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world.

Day 13 : Gosainkunda - Thare Pati

Day 14 : Thare Pati - Gul Bhanjyang

Day 15 : Gul Bhanjyang - Chisopani

Day 16 : Chisopani - Kathmandu
