| The Ganesh Himal is a major group
of Himalayan peaks located between the Langtang and
Annapurna Ranges. The Eastern part of the range is
famous for the unique Tamang culture to which the Nepali
Royal family belongs. This area is truly unspoiled and
the visitor is treated to spectacular views of mountains
and colorful rhododendron forests. The mighty Manaslu
(8156m) dominates the Western Ganesh Himal (see below).
This area is easily accessed from Kathmandu.
