passion for exploring the remote corners of the world.
With fifteen years adventure travel experience behind us
in Nepal and its outer regions, our extensive knowledge
of the area, the landscapes, people and cultures adds a
colour and dimension to your trip that cannot be
compared. With our background and experience you can be
secure in the knowledge that you are in the very best of
hands.
Our aim is to make the untamed land of the Himalayas and
beyond accessible to other kindred spirits who share a
passion for faraway destinations. We focus on small and
specialised groups as well as individually tailored
tours, giving customers an immediate and rare experience
of these secluded sites. Remote Highways tours are not
exclusively for adventure travellers. Whether your
interest is in trekking, sightseeing, bird watching,
wildlife safaris, cultures and traditions, flamboyant
festivals, spiritual temples and architecture or simply
taking in the views and local scenes, we cater for all
who wish to travel to these treasured and timeless parts
of the world.
How each of us travel is as important to us as the

during the tour, to providing an in-depth flavour of the

Most of our Tour Leaders/Guides are local to the area
and come from all walks of life with a unique
relationship to the land and its traditions. Along the
way, your guide will share their enthusiasm for guiding
as well as their favourite places, the behind-the-scenes
spots you never would have found on your own, introduce
you to the real people of the villages, and even teach
you some helpful local phrases. Some of our larger
groups will be led by western leaders who bring not only
their vast experience of the area, but also a cohesive
understanding of the people in the group. Everyone who
works for us and along side us has local knowledge and
experience in the places offered for trekking and
touring, and a strong interest in protecting the
environment. It is our philosophy to ensure our
operation has minimal impact on the environment, while
providing a necessary resource to ensure its
preservation.
